Posted much after the hike :(
Name: Burntbridge Pond Trail to Hedgehog Pond (part of Cranberry Lake 50)
Location: Cranberry Lake, NY, Adirondacks
Type: Part of large loop 50 miles long - we hiked as an out and back.
Necessary permits: Unknown
Pets allowed: Unknown
Recreation Guidebook: We started along Burntbridge Pond Trail that is a red-marked hiking/biking/snowmobile trail starts at a parking lot on NYS Route 3 approximately 2 miles northeast of the hamlet of Cranberry Lake. The trail runs south toward an arm of Cranberry Lake. At 1.4 miles it intersects a trail coming from the DEC Cranberry Lake Campground (Bear Mt Trail). Bear Mt. is an excellent side trip and offers wonderful views of the lake. Continuing on, the trail reaches Brandy Brook flow at 3.0 miles. The CL50 goes straight along the flow changing to the blue-marked Dog Pond Loop Trail. We veered off to see Hedgehog Pond and then retraced steps back to Route 3.
